Swfte Limited uses cookies and similar technologies to operate our Services, ensure security, analyze usage, and personalize your experience. This Cookie Policy explains how these technologies work, what choices you have, and how they relate to our broader privacy practices.
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy ("Policy") describes how Swfte Limited ("Swfte," "we," "our," or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, web applications, desktop applications (including Workstation), and enterprise AI platform (collectively, the "Services"). This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which provides comprehensive information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
By using the Services, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with this Policy. You may adjust your cookie preferences at any time as described in Section 8.
This Policy is effective as of January 1, 2025.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device — including computers, tablets, and mobile phones — when you visit websites or use web-based applications. Cookies are widely used to make websites function properly, improve performance, remember user preferences, and provide website operators with information about how visitors use their sites.
2.1 Technologies Similar to Cookies
In addition to cookies, we may use other similar technologies. Web beacons (also known as pixels) are small transparent image files or code snippets embedded in web pages or emails that allow us to track user interactions, email opens, and navigation patterns. Local storage and session storage are browser-based storage mechanisms that allow websites and applications to store data on your device; local storage persists beyond a single browser session, while session storage is cleared when you close your browser. Device fingerprinting refers to the collection of device attributes — such as screen resolution, installed fonts, and browser plugins — used to identify and authenticate devices for security purposes. Software development kits (SDKs) are code libraries embedded in our desktop and mobile applications that may collect usage information to support analytics and product improvement.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
3.1 By Lifespan
Session cookies are temporary cookies that exist only during your browsing session and are automatically deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a specified period or until you manually delete them, allowing the Services to recognize you on subsequent visits.
3.2 By Provider
First-party cookies are set directly by Swfte on our domains, including swfte.com and app.swfte.com. Third-party cookies are set by external services that we integrate with, such as analytics providers, advertising networks, and customer support platforms.
3.3 By Purpose
Essential cookies (also called strictly necessary cookies) are required for the Services to function properly. They enable core functionality such as authentication, security protections, and navigation. The Services cannot operate without these cookies, and they cannot be disabled.
Functional cookies (also called preference cookies) remember your choices and settings — such as language, display theme, and region — to provide enhanced features and a personalized experience.
Analytics cookies (also called performance cookies) help us understand how visitors interact with the Services by collecting and reporting information about usage patterns, typically on an anonymized or aggregated basis.
Marketing cookies (also called targeting cookies) are used to deliver relevant advertisements, measure advertising campaign effectiveness, and limit the number of times you see a particular advertisement.

5. How We Use Cookies
5.1 Essential Platform Functions
We use essential cookies to verify your identity and maintain your login session, manage session state as you navigate between pages, protect against cross-site request forgery and other security threats, distribute traffic across servers for optimal performance, and distinguish legitimate users from automated bots and malicious actors.
5.2 Improving Your Experience
We use functional cookies to remember your display preferences, including language, theme, and layout settings; to track your recently accessed workspaces, agents, and workflows for quick access; to preserve form inputs if a session is interrupted; and to customize content and interface elements based on your usage patterns.
5.3 Analytics and Performance
We use analytics cookies to understand how you use the Services and identify areas for improvement, measure page load times, error rates, and overall system performance, track feature adoption to prioritize product development, conduct A/B tests to optimize the user experience, and identify and diagnose technical issues.
5.4 Marketing and Communications
We use marketing cookies to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, display relevant Swfte advertisements on other platforms to users who have previously visited our website, attribute sign-ups and conversions to specific marketing channels, and personalize content based on your interests and engagement patterns.
6. Cookies in Swfte Products
6.1 Workstation (Desktop Application)
The Workstation desktop application for macOS and Windows uses local storage and similar technologies for several purposes: authentication tokens are stored securely to enable persistent login; a local data cache supports offline functionality; application preferences such as theme, window size, and display settings are stored locally; and anonymous usage telemetry is collected for product improvement, which you can disable at any time through Workstation's settings.
6.2 Web Applications (Studio, Marketplace, etc.)
Our web-based products use the cookies described in Section 4, as well as additional storage for workspace state (current project, open files, and editor state), collaboration presence indicators for real-time team activity, and feature flags that control access to new and beta features.
6.3 Embedded SDK
When you integrate the Swfte Embedded SDK into your own applications, cookies set by the SDK operate as first-party cookies on your domain. Session management cookies enable continuous conversations, and analytics cookies, if enabled, track widget interactions. You control which optional cookies are activated through your SDK configuration. As the integrating developer, you are responsible for informing your end users about these cookies in accordance with applicable law.
7. Third-Party Services
We integrate with third-party services that may set their own cookies on your device. These services have independent privacy and cookie policies.
7.1 Analytics Partners
We use Google Analytics (Privacy Policy) for website traffic analysis, Mixpanel (Privacy Policy) for user behavior analytics, and PostHog (Privacy Policy) for product analytics.
7.2 Marketing Partners
We use Google Ads (Privacy Policy) for advertising and conversion tracking, Meta (Facebook) (Privacy Policy) for social advertising, LinkedIn (Privacy Policy) for B2B advertising, and HubSpot (Privacy Policy) for marketing automation and CRM.
7.3 Functionality Partners
We use Intercom (Privacy Policy) for customer support and live chat, Cloudflare (Privacy Policy) for security and content delivery, and Stripe (Privacy Policy) for payment processing.
8. Your Cookie Choices
8.1 Cookie Consent Banner
When you first visit our website, a cookie consent banner will be displayed. You may accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies (allowing only strictly necessary cookies), or customize your preferences by selecting specific categories of cookies to allow. You may change your preferences at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in the website footer.
8.2 Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. You can typically view cookies stored on your device, delete existing cookies, block new cookies from being set, block third-party cookies while allowing first-party cookies, and use private or incognito browsing mode to prevent persistent cookies. For browser-specific instructions, consult the following resources:
8.3 Opt-Out Services
You may opt out of interest-based advertising through industry self-regulatory tools, including the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI), the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA), and the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA).
8.4 Analytics Opt-Out
To opt out of specific analytics services, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or visit Mixpanel's opt-out page.
8.5 Workstation Application Settings
In the Workstation desktop application, navigate to Settings, then Privacy. From there, you can toggle Usage Analytics to disable telemetry data collection, and toggle Crash Reporting to disable error reporting.
8.6 Consequences of Disabling Cookies
If you choose to disable cookies, certain features of the Services may not function as intended. Essential cookies cannot be disabled, as they are required for authentication, security, and basic navigation. If you disable functional cookies, your preferences will not be remembered across sessions, and you will need to configure language, theme, and other settings on each visit. If you disable analytics cookies, we will be unable to identify and resolve issues affecting your experience, and your usage will not inform product improvements. If you disable marketing cookies, you may still see advertisements, but they may be less relevant to your interests.
9. Do Not Track
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that sends a signal to websites requesting that they not track the user's browsing activity. The Services do not currently respond to DNT signals, as there is no universally accepted standard for interpreting such signals. However, you may use the cookie controls described in Section 8 to limit tracking.
10. Mobile Device Controls
On mobile devices, you can manage tracking through your device settings. On iOS devices, navigate to Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Tracking, and disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track." On Android devices, navigate to Settings, then Privacy, then Ads, and enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization" or "Delete advertising ID."
11. Global Privacy Control
Swfte honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. When we detect a GPC signal from your browser, we will refrain from sharing your personal information for targeted advertising and will limit data collection to essential purposes only. For more information about GPC, visit globalprivacycontrol.org.
12. Cookies and Children
The Services are not directed to children under the age of sixteen (16). We do not knowingly set cookies or collect information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at privacy@swfte.com.
13. Updates to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legal requirements, or our business practices. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the end of this Policy. For material changes, we may notify you through the Services or reset your cookie consent preferences so that you can make an informed choice under the updated terms.
